Introduction
Welcome to Tessellation Creation, a world where mathematics meets art and science! In this Weebly Topic Hotlist you will find some fascinating tessellation websites. We have divided our websites into four categories; history and background of tessellations, tessellations in nature, tessellations in art, and create your own tessellations. After you explore the basics of tessellations, you will see Mother Nature's perfect tessellation displays in bee hives, tortoise shells, flowers, and so many more plants and creatures. Next you will view art samples of the most famous M. C. Escher, the father of modern tessellations, as well as many other artists and medians, such as quilts. Finally, you will have the opportunity to create your own tessellations with interactive tessellation makers, or, if you choose, directions will be given to make them on paper.
